今年、デビュー15周年を迎える綾戸が完成させた希望に満ちたニューアルバム!! <<これぞ綾戸智恵がデビュー15年を前に到達した"希望のアルバム"と言える傑作です!!>> 震災を挟んでレコーディングされた前作『PRAYER』は図らずも、震災の影響を受け、タイトルの通り慈愛と癒しを込めた「祈り」のアルバムでした。そして自ら被災地へ足を運び、改めて人の絆の素晴らしさを感じた綾戸智恵。祈りの先には希望に満ちた世界がありました。人を含め、それでも"世界は強く、美しい(Wonderful World)"…そんな気持ちがアルバム制作の原動力になりました。そしてテーマを象徴する楽曲「What A Wonderful World」からアルバムタイトルが付けられました。そんな綾戸智恵が放つ新作『Wonderful World』は、1stアルバム『For All We Know』の発売日(1998年6月21日)からちょうど15年目にあたる記念日、2012年6月21日(木)にリリースします。 <<「テネシーワルツ」と並んで大切に歌い続けた曲 「What A Wonderful Wolrd」>> 前作の「Hallelujah(ハレルヤ)」に代表される落ち着いたテイストから一転、今作はオルガン/パーカッション/ギター/ベースというドラムレスのバンドで明るく軽やかな印象のアルバムとなっています。選曲も「テネシーワルツ」に並んで、大切に歌い続けてきた曲「What A Wonderful World」を中心に、王道のエリントンナンバーからビートルズやスティングのロックナンバー、そしてニーノ・ロータの映画音楽(「ゴッドファーザー」)に至るまで、これまでのアルバムの中でも特に自由に楽しく"今歌いたい歌"を収録。そして偶然にも全12曲中"LOVE"という単語が入った曲が実に5曲あることも今の気分を反映しています。
Chie Ayado is one of the leading jazz singers in Japan. Her new album “Wonderful World” (East House, Inc.), is to be released in celebration of the 15th anniversary of her debut. After completing her previous album, “Prayer”, she was struck with thoughts on how strong and beautiful the world is, comprised of those instances in life that you want to treasure forever.
